Started the wiring today. starting with fixing navtex and then moving on to the battery monitor and then hopefully on to the simrad combi unit. Spent a long time working out the exact and best positions for instruments taking in to account bulk heads, lengths of wires etc. The most difficult part is the wiring feeding through the ducting in order to keep it as neat as possible.
This turned out to be very difficult and time consuming. After many trips to the chandlery for screws and fixings the navtex is finally fitted. Just need a co-axial connector to complete the installation.

I can't believe this has taken all day to complete. The enormity of the task hasn't exactly dawned on me as exploded! There is so much to do. Especially if I want to leave on the 30th April. Small taskes such as sorting the flagpole, flying the Myhanse burgee etc are obviously easy but the electronics, Navtex, battery monitor, log combi unit AIS, chart plotter and radar are extremely difficult to fit especially single handed as I am. I need ten foot long arms to feed the wires through the ducting. I am daunted by the task. I hope I can manage it!
